Warming up
At least, if I recall correctly this was a warmup.

Reaching for traction
That dry line on the left tire side felt tricky to hit, but worked really well when it did.

Into the woods
On a bright day, this one can be tricky since the shadows can play with your eyes. When you get it right, it's thrilling.

In the woods
I'm honestly amazed that the Dirtfish photographers got a shot like this.

Exiting the woods
The heat on this particular day was brutal. One of those things where you think it won't hit you... until it does, and you start falling behind your own driving. Great opportunity for growth if you recognize it though.

Dust trails
This was one of the dryest and hottest runs I think I ever did at Dirtfish. It's brutal to drive in, but it does make for some cool photos with the way the dust trails.

SCCA Competition Licensing exam (2)
After exiting turn 3 or 4.

SCCA Competition Licensing exam
Doing this during the pandemic years was unfortunately a bit cumbersome, as having to have some kind of mask on in the car made the learning experience a bit stilted. That said, Proformance Racing School at Pacific Raceways has some incredible instructors and talented drivers. Between here and Dirtfish, the PNW is spoiled for chances to get good at this stuff. Learning here is also frankly incredible due to the rain in the PNW... you kind of can't avoid having to be decent in the wet. This was (IIRC) turn 3 or 4 on the course.

Eggs Benedict
Self explanatory.

Goodbye, Fooz!
Won this with Webs coworkers back in ~2009 or so. One of them managed to bring it all the way to Seattle... then gave it to me to handle. I was going to pass it off to someone else, but we're all older and frankly nobody needs a monkey this large. Wound up giving it to a FedEx employee.

Shrimp fettucine alfredo
Homemade pasta with local shrimp.

Helping Jake build his first computer
My Christmas gift to him. Bought him all the parts and taught him how to put it together.
