Kaleidoscope Christmas Tree

Christmas in Japan seemed muted this year until I stumbled on this massive thing. One of the coolest takes on a Christmas tree that I’ve ever seen.

Fuji Speedway, Day 2

Was not blessed with sunshine and dry track today - but it’s been an incredible experience nonetheless. Had all of Fuji to myself in wet weather, hard to imagine ever having that opportunity again!

Fuji Speedway

Managed to sneak in one final event for 2025. This time it’s another legendary track! In sims I’m never as fast as I want to be here so I’m really interested to see how it feels in real life.

v.Granz at Suzuka

No comment on how all our faces look, haha. Getting to drive this thing around Suzuka for 40 or so laps was one of the most fun experiences of my life. Thanks to Circuit Orange Racing for hooking it up - and thanks to my buddy Tomo for helping out with crew last minute!

Paddock Check

Moments before heading out on to the track. Final check with the crew and engineers. Getting to drive this track is beyond my wildest dreams. Thanks to my good friend Tomo Goshozono for the photo!

Oz Coffee Shop

On the way to a motorsports store to buy an emergency replacement helmet, I stumbled on this coffee shop and decided to try it out. Great coffee - and allergy friendly desserts if you’re the kind to partake.

Rainbow door

Stumbled on this while passing through the area and thought it’d make a fun picture with saturation cranked way the hell up.

Vintage Eames Animation

Stopped in to an old haunt of ours for a drink (well, three, to be precise). Got to chatting with the bar owner about the films they were showing. I’d heard about these but not seen them myself - really interesting bit of history that will stop me from ever looking at a certain chair the same way again.

Downpour in Sangenjaya

Walking to Shimokita and looking for dinner. We eventually found refuge in a soup curry shop.

Americana, ish

Stumbled on this relic parked in an alleyway in Toranomon. I’d love to know who’s driving it, just due to the absurdity of it all.

Entering a Legendary Track

Managed to fit in a trip here for Formula 1 Qualifying. Wish I could drive this some day - but for now taking in some great racing is more than enough. Was grinning like an idiot the entire time we were here.

Chiwata Station

Built in 1928! Passed this during a road trip and had to turn around to see it. Still serving passengers today.
