During my time with myGengo, it was frankly hard to describe exactly what I did: there was a bit of
core engineering, a bit of developer relations/outreach, and more. Business cards ("meishi", 名刺) still
have more use in Japan than the west, and so when the topic of mine came up, I just told them to give me
the title of "alchemist" because I couldn't think of anything else.
