Americana, ish
Stumbled on this relic parked in an alleyway in Toranomon. I’d love to know who’s driving it, just due to the absurdity of it all.
Salt Flat Flamingo
Visited the salt flats in the northern desert of Chile. Wild flamingos galore, apparently they feed on a form of shrimp that manages to live in these small bodies of water. The sun is so powerful here that I felt myself burning already - surreal that these birds just shrug it off.
Mars-esque
The “Valley of Death”, which apparently is similar in terrain to Mars. When we got here, we knew we had to try climbing the hills so we ditched the truck and gave it a go. I don’t know if I’ve been anywhere else on earth like this, stunning beauty especially with the way the shadows cast.
Mouse Street Art
The shadows and colors on this made me double back for a photo. I wish I knew the artist - what a cool style!
Channel Reflections
We took a scenic detour through this channel and it didn’t disappoint. Some of the most stunning cliffs I have ever seen.
State of disrepair
A broken and beached boat in an old fishing village. Quite a trip to drive through, with a mix of Argentinian Navy equipment in areas throughout. Incredibly kind people in the town.
Rally urges
A winding road outside a small fishing village. The turn up into the crest with the water nearby is a stupidly sublime feeling.
End of the world
Just past the end of the Pan-American Highway, there’s a trail you can hike that takes you out by the water. It’s a wild place to just sit, since you’re basically left with Antarctica after this. Feels like the end of normal civilization.
Funky staircase
Small town at “the end of the world” gets creative with their need to traverse the hills they’re built on. Love the design.
Luna Luna exhibit
A showcase of an amazing art experience from the 80s was on display in NYC while we were passing through. “Luna Luna” was an amusement park art experiment that included artists such as Basquiat, Haring, Dalí and more. This particular bit made for a cool photo.
Coffee shop artwork
Some neat artwork found when traveling around Eastern Europe. I unfortunately can’t remember the coffee shop that we found this in, otherwise I’d quote it (and the artist).
