Exhaustion
We struggle up Mt. Fuji in a lightning storm, only to be told we need to descend immediately as the conditions were getting too dangerous. We were given 5 minutes to eat something and then told we needed to get a move on. Luckily, going down was easier than going up...

Finally reaching the top
We had the adventure - or misfortune - of climbing Mt. Fuji at night, in a lightning storm. The final torii gate at the top here was an eerie - but welcome - sight!

A Pikachu burger
Girlfriend decided we had to visit some Pokemon-themed cafe. Burger was decent!

City of endless expanse
It is really hard to put into words just how much I love this city. One of my favorite shots I've ever taken of it - it just never ends and the activity is always on display.

A buoy on the journey from Busan to Japan
Self explanatory. Color is striking.

Leaving Busan
To re-enter Japan (with a visa finally settled), we opted to go from Busan via ferry. It's not the most common route, but you can enter via Fukuoka and get a slightly different entrance sticker in your passport (boat instead of a plane!).

Amusing graffiti
Look ma, he's got hair now!

A train that will (seemingly) never go
Self explanatory image, I think.

Last stop before...
Heading to the DMZ border between North and South Korea.

A small coffee stand with an incredible owner
Finding good coffee in Korea was always a bit tricky, but this random stand that was in the base of our apartment in Seoul turned out to be incredible! Bata, if you ever read this: you made our lives so much easier.

Looking out over Busan
We spent a few months in Busan, renting a house in the upper area of houses that were built post-war. A fascinating time... but man, walking up and down this hill every day in the heat was brutal!

View from the apt
Temporarily decamping back to Taipei; a shot from the balcony of my apartment.
